Oh, you’re not going to want to hear this - but members of the MTA board - y’now - the ones who just jacked up the fares on virtually all forms of NYC transit - well, they get it all for free - for LIFE.
Yes, thats right - subways, buses, trains, bridges and tunnels - they have a special free pass on all of it, and for the rest of their lives…
Now, I would suspect anyone with the professional experience and time to be an MTA board member is probably well-heeled enough to kick down for a Metrocard or two - and probably should, since they need to keep the financial impact of transportation into rider perspective when evaluating stuff like - I dunno - fare hikes - but evidentally they dont - ever - and never will - for the rest of their lives.
