I was watching a few minutes of ‘The Longest Day‘ while eating lunch today, and shortly after Eddie Albert was upended by a Nazi grenade, a commercial came on for good ol Kaeopectate. It showed a guy on a train – wait – thats a Metro-North train! I would recognize that crummy old wood veneer panelling and black and red leather seats anywhere!
Thankfully, I have TiVo, so I could slow-mo through the rest of the commercial and catch the station sign in the background as the train pulled away from the station (sure there is a Kaeopectate metaphor there) – Ossining for the Win!
