Our sister site Trainjotting has it from an insider that Canadian citizen and New Canaan resident journalist Ashleigh Banfield was we recently spotted on Metro-North with CBS reporter Scott Pelley.

Evidentially Pelley was trying to give Banfield some pointers on her American citizenship exam. Uh, yeah, right Scott, whatever. Like a natural-born American Citizen knows the answers to any of those citizenship questions. Nice try dawg.

Banfield is currently co-host of Banfield and Ford “Courtside” on TruTV (formerly Court TV). She also knows how to rock a pair of smarty-pants glasses like no one’s business.

Scott Pelley kicks it old school on 60 Minutes and does not look anywhere near as much like Mariska Hargitay as Banfield does¹.

BTW, speaking of 60 Minutes, did anyone notice that last night they had some never-before-seen reporter covering the new US Military ray-gun weapon (which required him getting hit with it repeatedly?).

My guess is that this guy David Martin is the new ‘redshirt‘ reporter for 60 Minutes, and that his right of passage is to get his insides fried.

You know damn well CBS’s insurance company isn’t going to risk the lawsuit of scrambling Mike Wallace’s ancient innards.
