A semi tractor trailer in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, going the wrong way on the interstate into oncoming traffic for 15 kilometers nearly 10 miles, jumped an overpass guardrail at high speed Monday, crashing onto the train tracks below and exploding into a giant fireball. The driver was killed.
A passenger in a car on the other side of the freeway (going in the same direction and parallel to the truck) captured video of the unbelievable final moments of the runaway trucker.
Families of the deceased claim the the driver, who suffered from diabetes, was likely not in control of the truck due to some sort of diabetic seizure or coma. A fellow trucker interviewed said that this was highly unlikely due to the long distance the truck had driven in the wrong direction. The same trucker went on to suggest that the driver had sought his own demise in the crash.
However, a driver who had passed the truck head-on said that he got a good look at the driver, and was certain that he was slumped over the wheel, with his arms flailing, and was definitely not in control of the vehicle.

The truck was not going down an “interstate”; there are no states in Canada.
