Congestion Pricing Buried By State Assembly Despite Last Gasps

Apparently there was some last minute politicking to bring the Congestion Pricing initiative onto the State Assembly floor for a public vote - but to no avail - according to Elizabeth Benjamin for the Daily Politics blog at The Daily News.
Mayor Bloomberg had some things to say about that.

Congestion Pricing Dies In Albany Behind Closed Doors In Secret Vote

The New York Times City Room reports that congestion pricing has been killed by a secret vote behind closed doors in the State Assembly, and will not reach the the floor for a vote.

Breaking: 2 New York City Subway Deaths In 2 Days - Man Killed By C Train This Morning

Earlier today we reported that a young man was killed by an E subway train yesterday .
Sadly, just hours after, AMNY reports that another man was killed this morning in Brooklyn by a Manhattan-bound C Train.
For unknown reasons, the man was on the catwalk beyond the platform when he was struck.

MTA Searching Ebay For Train Parts

Greenwich Time reports that MTA has been searching Ebay for critical electrical parts for its M4 trains as part of a rehabilitation program similar to the one which boosted reliability of the aging M2 trains, which will begin to be replaced by the new M8 trains late next year.

Breaking: Young Man Found Dead On New York City Subway, Hit By E Train

Stan Pales, a 21-year-old Brooklyn man, was found dead on the subway tracks at 14th St and Eighth Ave early Sunday morning.
Police said he had been struck by a Southbound E Train and are investigating, an autopsy is scheduled for today.
