The 3G Apple iPhone will be released on June 4 according to Walt Mossberg, who seemed to offhandedly reveal this information in a recorded meeting from CTIA (below).

The Wall Street Journal Technology columnist seemed completely assured and consciously specific, as you can see at 6:53 into the video below.

Rumors have been swirling about the new iPhones imminent release, as we mentioned back in March.

Mossberg, along with New York Times Technology columnist David Pogue, both have most-favored-journalist status with the secretive Apple marketing machine, being allowed special advance units for review of both the original iPhone and Apple’s new MacBook Air ultrathin notebook.
