The Japanese Version of “The Office” - SNL Digital Short With Ricky Gervais

This week’s SNL Digital Short - “The Japanese Version Of ‘The Office‘” will go down with ‘Lazy Sunday’ and ‘Dick In A Box’ as one of the all-time greats.

Jason Sudeikis is just perfect as Jim, kicking back in his chair and raising his eyebrows at the camera - it makes me laugh so hard every time he does it. I think he has done this impersonation briefly before on SNL.

Kristen Wiig is also great as Pam, and Bill Heder as Dwight (he doesn’t say much, but he sure looks the part!).

Why can’t SNL do a recurring parody of The Office for a few weeks, and spare us the endlessly boring political impersonation monologues? It would be hilarious!

I love Ricky Gervais! I am a total Brit Office snob- my friend’s Brit husband introduced me to the Office well before the American version and I have always thought the Am. version had much less zip.
However, my sis got me into it and now I think it is OK.
Don’t forget that awesome Mahmoud Abadinajeen (completely made up spelling) digital short song. That will remain on my TiVo forever.

The series finale of the British office was one of the best series finales ever.

The moment when he simply stands up from his desk to reveal the Ostrich costume was hilarious.
