Yesterday when I posted the Japanese Version Of The Office SNL Digital Short, Stamford Talk commented that her favorite was the following video, “Iran So Far Away” where Andy Samburg professes his musical love for Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad.

Its a love he doesn’t understand, but he succumbs to it fully, and he makes him happy, so I’m happy for them.

I had seen it before, but I forgot how hilarious it was. Its a top-shelf SNL DS for sure:

Hell, while we’re at it, I’ll throw in another one - where Andy Punches people before eating (the end is a little over the top, but its funny to see him punching Bon Jovi and Dave Grohl).

Speaking of Jon Bon Jovi, I saw him interviewed the other day, forget what show, but man, that guy impresses the hell out of me. I didn’t realize he had a #1 album recently, and still tours like an animal. But more importantly, he’s really, really smart and kind, and has always kept his whole life in amazingly great perspective.

He is still married to his high school sweetheart (who, like his daughter, never enter the spotlight) , is personally very active in his charity, and manages Bon Jovi completely - all the band members are his *employees* - and they wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s like a benevolent king.

What is probably most amazing is that unlike many older rockers, he seems to have few regrets and looks back on his entire life as a blessing since the day he was born. The guy is *happy*.
