I used to watch horse racing all the time when I was younger, but then I saw a horse break its leg on TV in the Breeders Cup... maybe 1990? And I never watched racing again because I found it so disturbing. I have watched a few races in the past few years... one I'm glad I caught was the filly winning the Belmont last year. I still have that on TiVo bc it was such an incredible finish! Nice post.
