Metrocard Machines Took Money, Gave No Cards – Systemwide – For 2 Days

Evidentally MTA just fixed an issue with the MetroCard machines where they were taking money out of people’s accounts, but not giving them cards – for two days!
According to MTA, the money will reappear in your account if you were affected – riiggghhttt…..
I guess the MetroCard machines work similarly to the recent fare hikes – [...]

Los Angeles Earthquake

Los Angeles was hit by a moderate 5.8 5.4 magnitude earthquake today. CNN Los Angeles Bureau Chief Pete Jano said it was the strongest he’s personally felt in the area for 12 years.
It was 14 years ago that the 6.7 magnitude Northridge earthquake rocked LA killing 72 and causing over $12B in damages.
