Patrick Moberg, the web designer who solicited the internet to find the girl of his dreams, whom he spotted on a NYC subway, has broken up with Camille Hayton, reports numerous sources.
Call it ‘Sliding Doors’ for the Gen Y set (if that reference makes no sense, its because I have never seen ‘Sliding Doors’, although in the trailer Gwenyth Paltrow sees some guy on the subway and the doors close, so there’s that).
Patrick spotted Camille last November on the 5 train from Union Station to Bowling Green, and I guess he didn’t have the gumption to speak to her (because, you know, Mace still exists). Instead, he went home and created a webpage called nygirlofmydreams.com with a cute illustration of himself, the girl, and where and when this all took place, so that perhaps he could meet her.
Amazingly, he was flooded with calls and emails and found her within 48 hours.
Camille Hayton was a 22-year-old magazine intern. The two started dating soon thereafter but alas, have moved on. News we probably didn’t need to know, it was better just letting these two ride off into the sunset and making up our own ending.
Still a cute story though.
In related news 43-year-old investment banker Manfry Williamson ‘accidentally’ copped a feel from 19-year-old Starbuck’s barista Betsy Burgman on the PATH train to 33rd St. after a late night of drinking Saturday morning at 3AM.
So, love continues to flourish…hang in there…
