Los Angeles was hit by a moderate 5.8 5.4 magnitude earthquake today. CNN Los Angeles Bureau Chief Pete Jano said it was the strongest he’s personally felt in the area for 12 years.
It was 14 years ago that the 6.7 magnitude Northridge earthquake rocked LA killing 72 and causing over $12B in damages.
Update: KTLA Live Video: http://ktla.trb.com/extras/ktla/video/video-channela.html Sesimologist being interviewed reports that no structural damage is expected in LA from a 5.4 earthquake because of LA’s building standards.
ARGH!!! While trying to find CNN on my cable provider, I once again got sucked into mi soap opera favorito - “Decisiones De Mujeres!”
