Is it possible to use this camera without a computer attached, and to have the video archived to a location outside of it’s local network?

I have not used the viewnetcam service, although I have saved video to my hard drive on one occasion with the included software – not on a schedule, manually.

I setup my router so I can access the web page remotely and control the camera, but directly from my network.

I have 2 simple questions. First, can you record video to your hard drive and if so at pre-set schedules?

Second, from Panasonic’s Viewnetcam.com service can you remotely control the camera? Other review I have read say you can view the camera remotely but can you control it remotely?
