The Shield
Premieres TONIGHT Tuesday, September 2nd, at 10 PM on FX.

The Shield is my favorite television show, period. When I first saw the original promos for The Shield, my reaction was similar to many other viewers – They are making a REAL cop show….with the guy from The Commish??!’ It seemed absolutely doomed from the start – and it was on cable – who watches ‘FX’ anyway?

I couldn’t have been more wrong. The Shield is the standard-bearer for what writing, acting, direction, and character development on television can be, and everyone who can bear its brutally violent and edgy material should do so.

If you haven’t seen The Shield, I would suggest a DVD marathon of the entire 6 seasons. You will not regret it, and it will make season 7 much richer, as you really need to know what these characters have been through to appreciate whatever this final season has in store.
