As a Yahoo! producer during the end of the last decade, I can attest to my share of conspicuous corporate frolicking. AIG had nothing on us - $440k on a retreat? Pfft! We would spend that on an Arbor Day party.
Frequent weeklong adventures to European Yahoo! hotspots were officially concluded with ‘what happens in Europe, stays in Europe‘.
This new video of a bunch of twenty-something Web 2.0 execs (from companies such as Google & Facebook) singing ‘Dont Stop Believing’ while living it up in a Cyprus villa is being hailed as a melancholy goodbye to the ‘official bursting of Web 2.0′. Its nice to see they’re taking it all in stride. Its also good to see you knew how to enjoy it while it lasted.
As of today, 75% of all current Google employees are underwater with all of their stock options.
