(Above) A VERY eager couple can’t wait to see if Chef Ramsey has successfully taught Sabatiello’s how to cook a steak to order.
The full Sabatiello’s Kitchen Nightmares episode is viewable online here.
I have never seen the Fox show “Kitchen Nightmares”, but I had to watch most of this episode to see them rehabilitate a local Italian steakhouse Sabatiello’s..
I personally have never eaten there, but from watching the show, it seems like the food was pretty lousy, with 3-day-old soup, microwaved frozen lasagna, and cheap cuts of meat.
This is where host Chef Ramsey stepped in, and wrestled with the hot-headed owner who was not all that amiable to criticism.
Long story short, Ramsey schools the restaurant on how to make better food and hopefully its all better now blah blah.
If anyone has any before and after opinions, leave a comment!

Don’t care how good the food is there now, after watching that ep, I have no interest in even driving by there.

This is the first time I have watched this show, but all I could think is ‘WHY would any restaurant want to open their kimono like that?”
The most disturbing thing for me is that the owner saw nothing wrong with 3-day-old soup, frozen lasagna, subpar beef and storing cooked and uncooked chicken in the same drawer.
Yes, I agree, I have no intention of ever eating there after seeing this.

There’s a big difference between day old soup (flavors mingle!) and three-day old soup (gray meatballs!). Ew.
Sabatiello’s is in a gorgeous space and a prime location. Between the owner’s personality, the bad publicity and the economy, I’ll give it a year. Tops.

I think Patty’s being generous with the year.

The only thing that impressed me was the above couple and their wonderful acting skills! Otherwise, no chance I am going to Sabatiello’s as long as it has the same owner as portrayed on the show….
