Over the weekend residents of Westchester County head a loud thunder-like ‘boom’ which has yet to be explained – and now residents in Nanuet have also been exposed to a similar noise, also with no explanation.
Most of the people interviewed by Newsradio 880 noted that it sounded very much like thunder – although one resident said the noise was so loud it shook his house – another Mt Kisco resident reported seeing a shooting-star like streak across the sky over the weekend.
Seismologists, the military, NASA, and other experts all report nothing in the area which should have caused such a sound.

Jan 12th, 2011: Loud boom still unidentified in Galveston, Tx. All local authorities still cannot identify. Checked for aircraft, refineries, port, power company. All came up negative.
I heard it. Sounded like an explosion. Set off car alarms.
