Top Legal Firm Leaves MTA Over Ethical Conduct Concerns

The New York Daily News reports that Proskauer Rose, One of the most highly-ranked legal firms in the United States, has abruptly quit its representation of MTA after becoming concerned that MTA management was becoming “too friendly with labor”.

In 2007, the New York Post reported that MTA had spent over $57 Million in OUTSIDE legal fees (this figure does not include its internal legal department!) to several firms between 2001 and 2007, including $6.7 M to Proskauer Rose.
