The 3G iPhone went on sale in the US at 8AM this morning to generally positive reviews.
Folks are reporting that data speeds are very good as expected (where you can get 3G), call sound quality is much improved over the original, although voice reception is still a little below par.

Apple has released the new version of iTunes - version 7.7, with the new App store for the 3G iPhone, and iPod Touch and original iPhone with the 2.0 software upgrade.
