“Was there a stopage or halt to the Uptown 6 train service last night (Nov. 4th) in NY around 11pm or so? I heard there was a police investigation somewhere down the track line and that hundreds of people were stranded inside the train for almost an hour.
The iPhone is in a black rubbery case, but the iPhone inside it is white.

Here is the details of the train it was left on:

Train #1325, first car, Friday, October 10 which arrived at Grand Central at 8:22 AM.
New Haven Line, with stops at:

7:25 AM Stamford
7:29 AM Old Greenwich
7:32 AM Riverside
7:35 AM Cos Cob
7:39 AM Greenwich
8:22 AM Grand Central

There is also a possibility it was dropped in Grand Central.
It was not at the lost and found this afternoon.

Two tractor trailers and a Lincoln Town Car were involved in an accident on I-95 just south of Exit 5 Southbound in Riverside, from reports one of the trailers, which was empty, was split in half, closing the highway between exits 5 and 4 (Indian Field Rd.).

Traffic reporters on TV are all advising everyone take the train today due to the slick conditions. It’s a mess.

And yes, I will confess to making the semi-conscious decision to miss the 1:53 AM out of Grand Central on more than one occasion, and sorrowfully, shamefully watching the sun come up over the Harlem 125th St. platform at 5:45 AM (Tip: If there is a chance of dawn breaking, depart from the dark bowels of Grand Central).

But Grand Central isn’t really a rowdy place late-night – yeah a lot of the riders are tipsy, but it still feels like slinking through your high school library after downing a six-pack of Natty Ice in the parking lot.

AMNY confirms that Grand Central and Port Authority after dark host amateur hours compared to the drunken, vomiting, brawling bridge-and-tunnel crowd seeking its late night Escape From New York via Penn Station.

My favorite relatable quote:

God forbid you miss the 3:19. You’ll be contemplating all the wrong directions you took throughout the night and your life…

Summers over – that sucks. To add insult to injury, everyone is back to work, and many of our trains are overcrowded.

Nowhere is this more brutally felt than on the New Haven Line, whose ancient cars are always going into the shop for repairs.

Indeed, my wife hit this head-on this morning, in a scene that has just become all too familiar to Metro-North riders.

Today, as usual, the 6:47 (#1531) out of New Haven was short on cars, and the bar car had been used to help fill the void – to little effect, as not only were all the seats full, but the standing room was packed as well. She managed to shove herself inside the train, but got off at the next stop, as it was just too uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, the next train at her stop, the 7:22 out of New Haven (Train #1535), has TWO ADDITIONAL cars and is NEVER FULL?!

I’m going to bump this one over to Conductor Bobby and see if he can shed any light on this…
