Smoke and fumes from a burning escalator motor at the subway station at 53rd and 7th Ave (B, D, E Lines) caused several people to go to the hospital for respiratory problems yesterday morning, and the station was evacuated.

Metrocard Machines Took Money, Gave No Cards - Systemwide - For 2 Days

Evidentally MTA just fixed an issue with the MetroCard machines where they were taking money out of people’s accounts, but not giving them cards - for two days!
According to MTA, the money will reappear in your account if you were affected - riiggghhttt…..
I guess the MetroCard machines work similarly to the recent fare hikes - [...]
