Evidentally MTA just fixed an issue with the MetroCard machines where they were taking money out of people’s accounts, but not giving them cards - for two days!
According to MTA, the money will reappear in your account if you were affected - riiggghhttt…..
I guess the MetroCard machines work similarly to the recent fare hikes - [...]

Woman Struck By Metro-North Train In Danbury, Survives

The Danbury News-Times reports a woman who was struck by a Metro-North train in Danbury at 7 PM Monday appeared to have deliberately stepped or jumped in front of the train. Amazingly, the woman survived and was rushed to Danbury Hospital, where her condition was unknown, reports the Danbury News-Times.

MTA Searching Ebay For Train Parts

Greenwich Time reports that MTA has been searching Ebay for critical electrical parts for its M4 trains as part of a rehabilitation program similar to the one which boosted reliability of the aging M2 trains, which will begin to be replaced by the new M8 trains late next year.
